Why Co-Author in Skype for Business?
Posted by on
Co-authoring is a great resource to collaborate with coworkers on a document. As of today, you can co-author via Office Online and Office client, but documents need to be in OneDrive for Business or SharePoint for this to work. Just like a typical Microsoft update, they will enable multiple ways to do the same thing. Here is another way to co-author – via Skype for Business. The big plus is you can have verbal communication when you co-author.
As some people may already know, co-authoring existed before it was created for Skype for Business, but now that you can use this feature, it will give you incredible ways to work together. When you co-author in Skype for Business, you can visually see changes that are being made by others. A few things you can do is discuss changes instead of typing out an email, or talk or IM with the co-authors in real time.
We have a training video that goes through the steps on how to co-author in Skype for Business. If you would like to learn more, please send a request to firstname.lastname@example.org.
